I wrapped a present with a ribbon made 100% from wood! The bow, the loops, and even the wavy ribbon are entirely wood and look freaking awesome. The wooden box is made from walnut. The ribbon is walnut and maple, shaped to look like the box is a present.

I’ve always wanted to make a wooden present box, with a flowing wood ribbon and bow. I finally got the opportunity to do it. This wood box is made from walnut, with a maple liner. The ribbon is made from maple and walnut, which was glued together to make the pattern. I wanted the box to give the illusion of being wrapped so I made the ends of the ribbon elevated off of the box top. I think it turned out pretty cool!
