If you use pre-cut ribbon, 2 yards (approximate 2 meters) should be enough for something the size of the box in the video. It’s easy to untie and the ribbon can be reused if the recipient irons it.
Cutting ribbon is always the last thing to do, so you won't waste too much ribbon with a roll of ribbon.
When tying the bow, after crossing the ends, make sure that the short right end goes into the upper right corner and the long left end goes into the lower left corner. then start to make a loop with the long left side ribbon.
If you are left-handed, it may be easier to make the whole process reverse horizontally.
