Story :- Emily and James had always tried to support their son Mike’s marriage with his love Sophia. Sophia and Mike had been dating years before they decided to get married but those few years weren’t exactly easy for Mike’s family who saw Sophia for who she truly was. Being supportive is not always easy when their daughter-in-law tries to gain material possessions every chance she gets and her entitled behavior causes a lot of problems for the family. There have been many instances where everyone apart from her own husband could see just how materialistic she was but it was to no avail because any time someone tried to confront her or Mike on it, they would both disregard the concern and tell them that it’s their life and they’re handling it perfectly fine. At one point, it even causes some big fights to happen between the families who wanted Mike to stay away from Sophia. However, perfectly fine does not cut it when the daughter-in-law berates her mother-in-law’s gift in front of a wide audience on her first wedding anniversary. That was the moment that everyone saw who Sophia actually was on the inside and it opened a lot of eyes. Not only was it Mike who finally understood what the true nature of his wife was but also her own family, who had always been suspicious about her behavior end up calling her out on it. This caused her to look back on her behavior and understand that nothing in this world comes without consequences.
