I would to tell how did I get this idea. Two years ago one of my best friend got merried. usualy in my country during wedding ceremony all guest wear a rosmery sprig mark. However, during this wedding ceremony all guest wore bride and groom initials made of gold acrilyc mirror. when I saw it, I yhought what good idea would that be to make a gift to remind them of this special occassion. Regarding the project, the woodI was using was termaly modified ash. It was a little bit too hard for this particular machine. It take me more timethan I thought too. I sand the edges to acive the shapeof heart and then carved surface, but left small heart shape in the midle , as a place for that golden inicials. For coating wood I am using the same epoxy as for the pooring and also to stick golden initials. I was hoping that this tiny blue layer will bring more contrast on this dark wood, and just from curiosity I added a small amount of white pearl powder. A few days later I pured the final layer of epoxy. After sanding, shaping and polishing I was needed to find find a way to conect heart with pedestal. UV epoxy is used just to hold that two part together in proper position, but for permanent bond I'am using the same epoxy as for the rest of the project.
