– Clean out an empty glass bottle and pour distilled water three fourths of the way full.
– Next, take your essential oils and do a total of 25-30 drops in the water.
-Measure out 1 oz of vodka or gin and pour into the bottle. The ratio I use is 6oz distilled water/1oz alcohol. If your bottle is smaller or larger, you can adjust accordingly.
Salted Caramel Sauce
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
3 TBS Unsalted Butter Cut in to cubes
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
In a heavy 2-3qt sauce pan, combine the cream, sugar, butter and corn syrup, mix until well blended. Stirring constantly, cook over medium-high heat, until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil briskly, stirring, for 5 minutes; lower the heat if necessary, to keep it from boiling over. Turn burner off and stir in the vanilla and salt. Let cool until sauce thickens slightly. Store in an airtight cool place for 2 days or in the fridge for even longer.

recipe with my own twist:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid https://amzn.to/3h7sLb4
1/3 cup arrowroot powder https://amzn.to/2WBPO4k
1/8 cup kaolin clay https://amzn.to/37C5Ph5
1 spray bottle filled with water (can also use witch hazel)
135 drops Sandalwood EO
35 drops Vetiver EO
15 drops Roman Chamomile EO
Add the baking soda, citric acid, arrowroot powder, kaolin clay and desired colourant into a large, non-metallic mixing bowl and whisk until combined. Drop the essential oils into the mixture and give the bowl a quick stir. Spritz the mixture with a little water or witch hazel and incorporate immediately into the mixture to avoid a reaction. If you don’t have a spritz bottle, you can also sprinkle water on the mixture using a teaspoon. Fill a silicone mould with the shower melts mixture. Then, press firmly into the mould using your fingertips and pay attention to the edges. Let the shower steamers dry for at least 24 to 48 hours. Afterwards, the shower tablets should feel hard and solid. To un-mould, carefully peel back the silicone and gently push the shower melts out of the mould.Tip: Making shower steamers can be affected by humidity. If you live in a humid environment, the drying time may be longer.
